TriVillage Mentor League is proud to offer Mentoring & More! programming at Stevenson Elementary in Grandview Heights.
TVML’s Mentoring & More program provides mentoring to local youth in grades 1-3. There is no charge for our mentoring program and because it is for children enrolled in childcare eliminating barriers to cost and transportation. Students are provided with a weekly, after school mentor experience led by local high school mentors. Local high school students from Grandview Heights High School serve as mentors to the elementary students. It is through this program that strong, life-changing bonds are formed.
The unique thing about our program is that not only is the mentee’s life changed, but so is that of our teenage mentors. With weekly activities in both large and small groups, the mentors and mentees experience time together to talk and share their lives. TVML provides an onsite Mentoring Coordinator who runs the weekly program. Mentoring & More runs from October through May.
We are excited to have had Mia Marcellana and Madison Schwartz recently serve as Mentoring & More! Program Coordinators. Mia is a senior at The Ohio State University and is a Neuroscience major/Pre-Med. Madison is also a senior at The Ohio State University and is a Biology major/Pre-Med.

We believe that children who find meaningful connections with positive role models and mentors will take the benefits of that relationship with them into adulthood.
